Karen's Ribs

Karen sent us this recipe for pork baby back ribs and it is outstanding.  Kim and I made them the Notre Dame vs. Boston College game, unfortunately the team wasn't as good that day as the ribs.  This is a terrific and easy recipe to make tasty and ribs using both the oven and grill.  I even managed to keep the ribs from burning or drying out, a common problem in the Brooks household.

Ingredients

3 pounds baby back pork ribs

1 tablespoon packed brown sugar

1 tablespoon paprika

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons pepper

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 cups babecue sauce

Preheat oven to 450

Center half of ribs in single layer on a sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil.

Combine brown sugar and seasonings; rub over ribs, turning to coat evenly. Bring up sides of foil and double fold. double fold one end to seal. Through open end, add 1/4 cup of water. double fold remaining end, leaving room for heat circulation inside packet. Repeat for second packet.

Bake 60 minutes on a cookie sheet in oven. remove foil; brush ribs with barbecue sauce.

Continue grilling on barbecue grill for 10-15 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning every 5 minutes.

Enjoy!!! Bon Apetite!!!!
